OFFICIAL NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
CITY OF BROOKFIELDOWNER: Sealed bids will be received by the City of Brookfield, Wisconsin, at the office of the Parks and Recreation Department, 2000 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin 53005, no later than 10:00 a.m., Central Daylight Time, on Thursday, April 24, 2025 for the following described project:
PROJECT: The work is officially known as the "Wirth Park & Beverly Hills Park Tennis Courts Resurfacing Project" and shall consist furnishing labor, materials, tools, equipment, utility and transportation services, insurance and everything necessary for the resurfacing of tennis courts. Work includes but not limited to removal and replacement of fence fabric and poles, net posts, pulverize existing asphalt surface and recycle in place, rough grade, fine grade and pulverize. New hot asphalt, tennis posts/nets and fencing where identified, color coatings, and line painting.
Work may commence on or about May 19, 2025 providing the successful bid is awarded by the Common Council and following receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The work shall be completed by October 17, 2025.

PROPOSALS
A bidder's qualification statement available at www.cityof brookfield.com or by contacting the Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry, must be delivered to the City of Brookfield at least five (5) days before the bid opening date. The proposal form furnished by the City shall be properly executed by the bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the City of Brookfield equal to five percent (5%) of the largest possible total bid or bids, including consideration of alternates. The successful bidder's failure to execute the contract and furnish the performance bond within ten (10) days after the award shall cause the Check or Bid Bond to be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages (Section 62.15(3), Wisconsin Statutes). The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any minor informality or irregularity in bids received. All proposals shall remain firm and may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening date.
