Contract Description: The Front Entrance Reconfiguration will include a new addition to the Administration Building ticketing area, new security features in the parking and access road, rework of the adjacent highway, and new access and egress roads into and out of the Zoo's parking lot. The project will alleviate the traffic and pedestrian flow into and out of the Zoo and allow for a more streamlined entry and egress for visitors.

Contractors for applicable Bid Packages shall employ a minimum of 50% of the Contract labor force with employees that reside in Milwaukee County. Documentation must be performed by LCPtracker Labor Compliance software. (see Bid Documents for RESIDENCY PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS).

Bidder's attention is called to the "Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity" (Executive Order 11246), contained in the Bid Documents, which set forth, in part, goals and timetables for the employment of women and minorities in the project area.
ALL PRIME CONTRACTORS SUBMITTING ON BID PACKAGES SHALL BE QUALIFIED PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BID IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 43 OF MILWAUKEE COUNTY ORDINANCE. A Contractor Qualification Statement must be submitted no less than five (5) days before Bid Closing date in order to qualify to submit a Bid on the Project.

Bidders shall submit the completed Subcontractor-Supplier Information Entry with the Bid. Failure to submit this information with Bid may result in rejection of the Bid as non-responsive.
A 10 percent bid bond or certified check is required with bid.
The lowest qualified, responsible, responsive bidder will be recommended for contract award. Owner reserves right to reject bid, to waive informalities in bid or to accept bid which will be in best interest of Owner.
Base Bid shall remain open to acceptance for a period of 60 days after bid due date.
